Dan Adragna

Through The Roof is the special needs ministry of Bayside Church in Roseville, California. Founded by Dan Adragna in September of 2003, Through The Roof is designed to minister to children and adults with special needs through various programs and service opportunities, for and with people of all abilities.

Dan, himself mobility challenged with the loss of both legs below his knees, was given a second chance at life when God spared him after a life threatening, toxic blood infection nearly killed him in December of 1995. After spending 6 weeks in a coma and nearly four months in the hospital, he was released with the use of a wheelchair but now walks well with two prosthetic legs.

God had a plan for Dan and prompted him to get involved in serving others with various needs, through Joni and Friends and a disability ministry at Twin Lakes Church in Aptos, California. In 2002, Dan relocated to Roseville, married Melynda, and started attending Bayside Church. About a year later, God once again prompted Dan into disability ministry under the leadership of Pastor Jim Holst. He feels blessed to serve with several outstanding volunteers.

Dan's other interests include hanging out with Melynda and baby AnnaGrace, beachcombing, sports, playing with his grandson, sightseeing, being with friends, watching movies, and riding really fast rollercoasters. Read his "Flying Legs" story by clicking The Flying Legs Story on homepage. It has to do with an amusement park ride...
